   INSIDE THIS ISSUE:

The rapid pace of change in China and the business opportunities it presents continues at breakneck speed. This is evident in the Shandong Province, where economic development has become one of the Central Government’s highest priorities. And no where in the Shandong Province shows more opportunity than in Wendeng City. Adjoining the Yellow Sea in the South and facing Korea in the East, Wendeng City is the center of three international cities—Beijing, Shanghai, and Seoul with 400 million consumers in the area. As a result, facilities serving commerce, trade, and the logistics industry are being established to further develop the Shandong
Province as a logistics hub. This includes the recent government approval to build the new 25 berth South Sea New Port to better serve the area’s growing manufacturing base. The Wendeng “Economic Development Zone,” the “Industrial Development Zone,” and the “Port Industrial Zone” are driving foreign investment. High growth sectors include: automobile and aircraft manufacturing; the machine tool industry; medicine and health products (such as pharmaceuticals); textiles; agriculture; electronics; & tourism. MEXICO

Ensenada International Airport Development Moves Ahead. GBA Assists the Opcion Integredora Baja Aeropuerto with Bold Plan To Build Aviation Hub.

There is a good reason the Mexican government is placing a high priority on the expansion and modernization of Mexico’s airports. Mexico’s aviation industry is the second largest in Latin America after that of Brazil. As part of the National Infrastructure Plan, a new international airport will be built in Ensenada under the auspices of the Opcion Integredora Baja Aeropuerto (OIB).
Former Baja Norte Governor Ernesto Ruffo, and businessmen Hector Caulderon, and Manual Chavez, Directors of OIB have received the federal permit for development of the 8000 acre site. The airport’s 4000 ft. runway will be able to receive the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380. The next steps include the Master Plan, Business Plan, and Marketing Survey.
